Stone goat on the mountain

Samara region, not far from Togliatti is the city of Zhigulevsk. It is located in the highest part of the Samarskaya Luka - the northern part of the Zhigulevsky mountains. And there is one peak here, which is considered the only one standing apart. Its height is 261 meters above sea level. And on its slope, on the Rocky cliff, there is a sculpture of a goat. The goat is the symbol of the Samara region depicted on the coat of arms.

And the story of her appearance is shrouded in mystery. They write that she just appeared here one morning several years ago - and it is still unknown about her creator.

There is also a legend that earlier there was a portrait of Stalin on this cliff, but after his death the rock was blown up to destroy the portrait. There is no documentary evidence of this - there are several fuzzy photos on the network, where it is not clear whether the mountain in the photo can be or not.
