When I captured panorama of the Hub it was still dark. But very soon I noticed the first rays of sun and noticeable glow in the sky from coming sunrise. I finished with the Hub and run to Saint Giles Church to shoot composition I planned long before.
The composition idea was the following:
I chose very low camera position to emphasise cobblestones.
Cobblestones forms diagonal curves leading from left bottom corner to Walter Scott statue.
One more diagonal line - the edge of the road - leads from the statue to Saint Giles Church.
Saint Giles Church is the main focal point and main subject. The sun rising behind the church add some dreamy glow around the church.
As a very welcome bonus I've got beautiful diagonal cloud, which appeared in the sky at the moment of shooting.
