I dont like the common house spiders and those little fast and busy spiders...eew ... but believe me, tarantulas are so cool! They are beauties! This specimen, avicularia purpurea, lives on a small island in the caribbeans. It lives on trees and hunts its pray by feet. They are able to jump 30cm. They are incredibly beautiful and majestetic. If you got a baby (spiderling) like this one, you have to be extra carefull that everythuing is on point: the temperature, the humidity, the food, etc... and they can die either even you did everything right. Female Tarantulas can get 30 years old, whereas male T's only live 4 to 5 years.
