CRISCO!

That's right, the smooth and creamy peanut butters you're feeding your kids are mixed with crisco... hydrogenated vegetable oil.

Crisco was introduced to the USA in 1960, by Proctor and Gamble. Short for Crystallized Cottonseed Oil, Crisco has been ruining the health of those who eat it for decades. :)

Not Exactly Sure

when the peanut butter companies began using it, but "It's In There" and it's amazingly creamy.

So

The next time your peanut butter isn't creamy enough, or happens to be too healthy... Stir in a couple tablespoons of crisco and you'll get that Skippy smoothness you remember as a kid. ;)
