RE: Generations Original Composition
The vocal reading like a family tree at a funeral is a striking image, and the cold machinery underneath carries those inherited scars well.

RE: Emu Orbit 9090 Drum Wave File Sample Set
The Orbit 9090 V2 was nicknamed 'The Rave Planet' for a reason, and 280 samples for $2.12 is a no-brainer for any techno session.

Generations Original Composition
Generations Original Composition
Generations is about the hand-me-down weight of it all. Every scar your father carried, you get to carry louder. Industrial grind, cold machinery underneath, and a vocal that reads like a family tree at

RE: Free CA-72: Open-Source Minimoog-Style Synth
Transcribing the CA3046 board straight from the original service docs and simulating it in ngspice is the kind of obsessive detail that tends to sound right.

RE: The Surface Original Composition

RE: Roland R-8 MKII Wave File Sample Set
Over 200 studio-quality samples from the sequel that expanded the original R-8's memory is a snapshot of a very specific era of drum machines.

RE: This little VU meter is genuinely handy

RE: Eternity Original Composition
That relentless forward feeling is what the whole piece was built around, so hearing it land is exactly what I hoped for.

RE: Korg DDD-1 Wave File Sample Set
Twelve-bit crunch just sits differently, it doesn't ask for space in the mix, it takes it.

RE: ZeroEQ: an 11-band EQ that stays out of the way
That's the exact scenario I kept running into, boosting one band too far and then having to rebuild the whole thing.

RE: Free CA-72: Open-Source Minimoog-Style Synth
Curious to hear how it sits in Logic, Minimoog-style filters are the part that always separates the good clones from the flat ones.

RE: The Surface Original Composition
That's the heart of it, really, the surface noise only works because the machinery underneath holds its nerve.

Pocket money is exactly right, the late-80s stuff has that unpolished punch you can't really fake.
