In psychology one often finds the reinforcement of stimuli and especially often you can see that this is applied in the field of learning and it is about influencing the behavior and intensifying certain stimuli to change the behavior and the motivation or willingness to act. One can roughly distinguish between positive and negative reinforcements and thus it leads to certain events being repeated and often in this context, the reward system is also incorporated and if positive stimuli are reinforced, the probability is higher that these will be repeated and this can also be applied in the case of negative ones, that certain things are avoided. These experiences are often deeply stored in the subconscious and are additionally linked to other sensory perceptions or events that were present at that time and if, for example, you were in a place where you otherwise feel very comfortable and certain stimuli are reinforced there, the probability is even higher that repetitive patterns occur. Which exact associations are formed depends on various factors and the interesting thing is that through all the links it leads to the creation of very own learning patterns and as a result, the fact that stimuli are usually connected to each other, even more complex behaviors are created by the reinforcements and often these are linked to things like food and as a result of the reinforcement, in this case the reward system becomes active and there is a distribution of dopamine, which additionally has a huge influence on the fact that people want to repeat these stimuli and often it also comes to the creation of certain trigger. If stimuli are not amplified but suppressed, there is accordingly a suppression of behavior and reinforcements are specifically used in areas in which it is about creating a desired behavior and especially over longer periods it is very interesting how the brain adapts to certain reinforcements of the stimuli.
