Rise of Orion

The rise of Orion at midnight marked the beginning of the grape harvest, and its evening rise marked the approach of winter and winter storms. The general belief that Orion brings storms lasted until the 17th century, for in the Geneva Bible, known as the Trouser Bible, among the marginal notes of the Book of Job, 28:31, Orion is called "the star that brings winter."
