Other Niche Communities Curation Report #1177

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 1177th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Starting to explore German gastronomy was one of the pending tasks that I had always had, even though it was one of the most tempting for me, it did not end up being convenient to jump into this adventure. It probably has something to do with the saying that good things come to those who wait. So we waited and the moment arrived.

It's raining as I'm writing this post, and that must be one of the many meanings of a blessing. Last Sunday, We had 37 degrees (Celsius) with a heat sensation of over 42, coupled with an incandescent sun and a weak and hot breeze. Yesterday I didn't feel like doing anything because the heat made me so lazy. But now our plants are overjoyed and so are we ๐Ÿ˜ Energies, recharging...

A little bit of nature during a medical consult [En-Es]

There are moments in the city when we do ordinary things and are immersed in the every day, when we can capture images that move us to share positively with nature. Yesterday, I took my mother, who is visiting here in the city, to a medical consult with a former co-worker from my working life.

During the wait, and always with the soul of being a content creator, I was able to capture some images of the plants that were in the garden of the place. This time, in the doctor's house, there is a conditioned room in his home, where he consults with his patients, which I find extremely pleasant.

Chocolate Rice Porridge For our Aeta Students

Planning, preparing, dining, and sharing food are integral to cooking. Because it sustains both our bodily and emotional, and spiritual well-being, food is at the core of what makes us human. Food is a cultural phenomenon that shapes our customs and connection to the environment. Food unites all of us.

Basil from the garden to me. Esp-Eng ๐Ÿชด๐Ÿƒ

If you had asked me a few years ago, about some aromatic herbs, well, I could say that I knew very little about them and their benefits and perhaps at that time I would not have been interested in knowing them, much less in cultivating them.

However, after a few months I have been organizing my garden and I have decided to grow my own basil plant, this aromatic herb, which the doctor has recommended me to enjoy and combine in my diet in a fresh way.

Two homeless people walked into a cafe

Homelessness is a growing problem in London. According to the charity Shelter, there are an estimated 4,134 people sleeping rough on the streets of London on any given night. This number has been rising steadily in recent years, and it is believed that the true number of homeless people is much higher, as many people are forced to couch surf or live in overcrowded accommodation.

There are a number of factors that contribute to homelessness in London, including rising rents, a lack of affordable housing, and cuts to welfare benefits. The government has a number of policies in place to help homeless people, including providing temporary accommodation, financial assistance, and help with finding employment. However, these services are often overstretched, and many homeless people struggle to access the help they need.

Relief

Sofia was a successful woman at work, but also very stressed. She had to deal with deadlines, clients, bosses, and competitors. Her life was a constant race to meet the expectations of others and herself. Sometimes she felt she couldn't take it anymore, that she needed a break, an escape, a relief.

One day, she received an invitation to participate in a spiritual retreat in a rural house far from the city. It seemed like a good opportunity to disconnect and relax. In addition, the retreat promised to teach her techniques to eliminate stress and maintain balance in her life. Without thinking twice, she accepted the invitation and reserved her place.

Stroll through the harbor area / Spaziergang durch das Hafengebiet

My walk through the harbor area of Cuxhaven took place a few weeks ago during our short vacation at the North Sea. When we are in Cuxhaven, a visit to the port area is always part of it. I love the atmosphere, the ships and the water. In Cuxhaven there is an old and a new fishing port. In the old fishing port, the fishing cutters still unload their catch. There are many small fish restaurants and sales counters where you can enjoy the fresh catch directly. The new fishing port is much larger and has a more industrial character. There are large halls where the fish is processed directly, freezing halls and also ship suppliers have settled here.
