The European Union has recommended that unvaccinated Americans be banned from visiting Europe.

Due of high Covid rates in the United States, the European Council removed the United States from the "safe list" of nations that can send visitors to the EU. However, it isn't quite as dramatic as it appears.

You probably don't need to cancel your vacation to Paris to see Messi play if you're completely vaccinated; the EU's current criteria enable countries to admit tourists who provide proof of immunisation.

Furthermore, because the EU's counsel is only a suggestion, the EU's 27 member states are not obligated to follow it.
Nonetheless, a glance at yesterday's plummeting airline stocks reveals that investors are concerned that the new policy may result in billions of dollars in lost income for European countries that rely on foreign visitors.
