A Trans Avia Export Cargo Airlines Ilyushin IL-76 destroyed two houses killing a five year old girl and injuring four others during a botched go around in Juba South Sudan. The aircraft went off course in poor weather during an instrument approach emerging from the clouds too low to the ground and too far from the airport. The pilots initiated an emergency go around but struck a tree and two houses before climbing away with the jet blast damaging other nearby homes. The aircraft diverted to Entebbe Uganda to attempt an emergency landing where the landing gear subsequently collapsed due to the damage sustained in Juba. The crew escaped without injury but the aircraft was very badly damaged.
