Czech Republic gripped by enormous heatwave

Hi everyone!

Today, I am coming with a sort of heads-up for those who are planning to visit my beautiful homeland, the Czech Republic. The summer season is when the country gets most tourists and visitors but this part of the year also comes with the possibility of enormous heat and this is actually what is happening here (as well as in many other European countries) right now.

We are currently amid a massive heat wave with temperatures reaching up to 38 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit). Tuesday and Wednesday have been the hottest days of the week so far with Thursday and Friday being a bit colder but according to the weather forecast, we might get to experience another dose of scorching heat during the weekend.

As usually, big cities with a dense housing development such as Prague tend to be affected by the heat most so if you are planning to visit the Czech capital these days, make sure to have a lot water with you and try to avoid being in the direct sun.
