Some pictures of my Photography Trip at the Grossglockner

This summer I visited the Grossglockner and Mittersil during my summer holidays together with Stefan and again we were lucky and took several pictures of Birds, Marmots and other animals there. But because the Landscape there is very interesting and beautiful I also did several landscape pictures of this region. I love mountain Landscapes because they often have so much "drama" and beauty in them. It is this combination of untouched Nature with only a little interference of humans that still has a lot of magic. But of course this is getting less and less.

This year was not so much traffic on the Grossglockner Alpine road because of the Corona restrictions no so many people from abroad where visiting the raod, but still on some places you where stuck and had to wait to continue the drive. But because of the beautiful mountain landscapes you can see all the way this i not so much of a problem. We slept 2 nights on the Grossglockner and therefore had enough time to explore the landscapes there.

Because there is a big glacier on the Grossglockner you can find several waterfalls and small rivers flowing down into the valley. We stopped at several of them but on this one i think the light Situation was just perfect. It enlighten most of the waterfall and a small creek still stays in the shadow, But this was still very difficult to photograph even with a graduated ND filter.
