#591 - Inside Fort Santiago.

A warm Monday evening fellow Hivers. What a productive day for me, I woke up early at four thirty and prepared breakfast foe my son who is going to school. I made some fried rice with hotdogs and eggs and also some canned tuna and even fried saba variety of banana. After that my wife and I went to the river for some morning walking exercises. I completed atleast six kilometers of distance by jogging and then when we went home, my son is already off to school. So after eating some from the breakfast I prepared earlier, I took the laundry 🧺 basket and started doing the laundry since I don't have any task today😅. Before ten in the morning, I am already finished with it. That's a good reason why I feel accomplished today.

For our daily shots, we are featuring these ones from the inside of Fort Santiago which is a base during the Spanish era and also during the world war 2. Behind is is the entrance going to the prison area where they kept our national hero during his time. The wall is made of old bricks and I believe some restorations have been done so far with it.

This is how it looks like below it. There are some art carvings which are still distinct up to now.

This is already inside the maximum security area. There are different walled area of this old building which could be anything from armory to prison area to barracks.

They have now made a garden just on the side of the Pasig river. My legs are too long in this one, the phone wide angle is too much.😄

This area is the front or what is facing the entrance. There are mud bricks everywhere here. The area has been developed for the future generations to visit.

Whoever this dude is I have no clue but there's some engraved details on it. This statue is already outside the maximum security and is in front of the cathedral.
