Hive Philippines Travel and Nature Photography #259 - by Allmonitors

#259 - Flowers we found at the viewpoint facing the rice terraces.

After reaching the viewpoint to have the best vantage point and see the amphitheater of rice terraces, we had our photos taken by our local tour guide. He was good with cameras already, just point and shoot and the outcome is pretty much what we expected.

So that's me and my wife all sweaty together after an almost two hour hike going ng to this site. We took a deep breaths and just appreciate what nature offered upon us. A hundreds of years of hardwork by the Ifugao locals who lived their lives here to better their families in terms of source of food. It took me some time to appreciate the vastness of what is in front of us. It was breathtaking!

Man and nature living in harmony is what I see here. The locals just take what they need from the mountains and cultivate it for them to survive. The locals here have evolved also in matter of living structures.

Before they use to have the famous nipa huts but since the influence of modern times they have to adapt as well and use concretes and galvanized roof already. Some still sticks with the old ways and still have wooden houses and nipas above it.

So as we were resting I took also photos of the wild flowering plants that grow in abundance along the pathways. This white flower looks like a daisy but is tiny just about the nail in the thumb in diameter.

There is also these orange flowers which I have not seen before. The shape of it is looking like a bell when fully bloomed. They are also tiny in size just about the thumb as well. Any idea about this plant?
