Start playing the guitar :
Let's see some tips on how to get started with this fabulous tool.
First of all we need a guitar, choose the one that best suits you then an acoustic guitar, a classic one or better yet an electric one. Many think that switching to electricity is to be done after having learned to play (at least a little) either the classical or the acoustics. Nothing could be more wrong, indeed! The handle, therefore the keyboard and the number of the strings is always the same, the advantage of the electric is that being thinner than the others it is much more comfortable and manageable to play.
On the other hand, to hear it, at least a small amplifier is needed (I'll cover this topic in the next post).
In the image above, we can see the three types of guitars mentioned above and now we will briefly describe them:
- ELECTRIC GUITAR: is made of a block of shaped wood called "solid body", the types of wood with which the body is made, determine the final sound though the same is then transmitted to the amplifier through pick-ups (those magnets that you see under the strings). Here, not having the problem of the sound box as on the other two types, you can indulge yourself with the most varied forms that the mind can conceive ... whether they are comfortable or not, well, it's up to you to try them and decide!
- ACOUSTIC GUITAR: here too the types of wood determine its quality and timbre. It is made with wooden bands to form a sound box where the sound produced by the strings is transmitted to the sound box via the "bone" of the bridge, amplifying the sound waves and making the sound audible at certain distances. It uses metal ropes such as the electric, fixed to the bridge by tacks and to the pallet by means of mechanics very similar to the electric one.
- CLASSICAL GUITAR: as for the previous ones, the wood is worth. Similar in construction as the acoustics, however, it uses nylon cords tied with special knots both to the bridge and to the pallet.
An error to be avoided: don't buy cheap guitars, rather a good used one of equal value but of brand. An economic guitar is made of very low quality wood and coarse workmanship and often it is not even possible to play so much it is mounted "crooked". Iniziare a suonare la chitarra :
Vediamo alcuni consigli su come iniziare con questo favoloso strumento.
Innanzitutto ci serve una chitarra,scegliete ciò che più vi aggrada quindi una chitarra acustica,una classica o meglio ancora un'elettrica. Molti pensano che il passaggio all'elettrica sia da fare dopo aver imparato a suonare (almeno un po') sia la classica o l'acustica. Niente di più sbagliato,anzi! Il manico,quindi la tastiera ed il numero delle corde è sempre il medesimo, il vantaggio dell'elettrica è che essendo più sottile delle altre è molto più comoda e maneggevole da suonare.
Di contro c'è che per sentirla serve almeno un piccolo amplificatore (tratterò questo argomento nei prossimi post).
Nell'immagine qui sopra, possiamo vedere i tre tipi di chitarre precedentemente citati ed ora ne facciamo una breve descrizione:
-CHITARRA ELETTRICA: è realizzata in un blocco di legno sagomato denominato "solid body" , i tipi di legno con cui viene realizzato il body, ne determinano il suono finale benchè lo stesso viene poi trasmesso all'amplificatore attraverso i pick-up ( quei magneti che si vedono sotto alle corde). Qui non avendo il problema della cassa armonica come sugli altri due tipi, ci si può sbizzarrire con le più svariate forme che la mente può concepire...che poi siano comodo o meno, beh sta a voi provarle e decidere!
-CHITARRA ACUSTICA: anche qui i tipi di legno ne determinano la qualità ed il timbro. Viene realizzata con fasce di legno in modo da formare una cassa acustica dove il suono prodotto dalle corde viene trasmesso alla cassa armonica tramite l' "osso" del ponte,amplificandone le onde sonore e rendendo il suono udibile a certe distanze. Utilizza corde in metallo come l'elettrica,fissate al ponte tramite chiodini e alla paletta tramite meccaniche del tutto simili all'elettrica.
-CHITARRA CLASSICA: come per le precedenti,vale il discorso legno. Simile di costruzione come l'acustica,utilizza però corde in nylon legate con appositi nodi sia al ponte che alla paletta.
Un errore assolutamente da EVITARE: non acquistate chitarre economiche, piuttosto un buon usato di pari valore ma di marca. Una chitarra economica è realizzata con legni di bassissima qualità e lavorazioni grossolane e spesso non si riesce nemmeno a suonare talmente vengono montate "storte". Nei prossimi post vedremo più in dettaglio l'anatomia delle chitarre e i loro particolari.
