[Remake 7] After the love has gone

사랑한 후에

This song was remade by a legendary Korean rock group in the 80s. A man sing his heartbreak after the love has gone. The song starts with the sound of train passing that is metaphor of his love going away. It's still one of Korean 'oldies but goodies' among drunken men in Karaoke. There are two versions and I love both. The other starts with piano.

After the love has gone

The original song is based on the French Revolution and it's lyric is somewhat political and philosophical. But I like this verse.

To see the day begin Our time is wasting in the wind

The Palace of Versailles

Although Lyrics between Remake and original are different, there is something in common. Melancholy and emptiness,

"Palace Of Versailles" is also a political song, contrasting the French Revolution and the rise of Napoleon with the student riots of 1968. The music is based on "The Earl Of Salisbury," a pavan by the 16th Century English composer William Byrd. Songfacts®

Wow! The original was not a original!

That's what I live for | Million of red roses | We're alone | Last kiss, rocker's sadness | I'll be missing you | Run To You
