Singers' smile.

Who sings smiles. During rehearsals, behind the scenes, just before a concert, choristers smile because they are happy to make music together with others. The beneficial properties of singing have always been known, it is used in many religions because it favors relaxation and concentration, but today its effects on our cerebral and neurological system are also known.

Singing in a chorus adds other benefits: at a cognitive level we are engaged in a complex way and this helps us to leave behind the hard work of the day; from a physiological point of view, breathing becomes more regular, with positive consequences on heartbeat and blood circulation, without mentioning posture that must be correct during all sessions; singing also causes a reduction in cortisol, the stress’ hormone, and greatly improves mood, because of an increased production of oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins. It also promotes human relationships, because people share work and purpose as well as passion for a wonderful thing like music.

A chorister hardly forgets the first time in his life he was singing with an orchestra: the pieces studied with piano solo accompaniment suddenly take on a new life and everybody is invested by incredible energy.

Neither cold nor hot weather can stop our common passion, can you see it?

Every occasion is good to be together to sing and laugh: for example when at Carnival we performed ancient cheerful music.

Come on singing with us!
