A major tourist destination for all of the Czech capital Prague. The castle consists of many buildings and palaces dating back to different historical periods. Today it is the official residence of the Czech President, which includes the presidential palace and the presidential residence. Tourists are keen to see an old tradition that takes place every day at the President's Residence, a ceremony to replace the Presidential Guard. They gather at midday in the palace square to watch it. The castle is situated on a high elevation, making it a panoramic location that can see Prague's important sights.
