Innocence

There is something about black and white imagery that is pure magic. I have said it before in some of my posts that when you take the right image and edit it black and white, you remove all of the distractions and you are left with the essence and soul of the person that you captured in the photo.

This boy in Africa was a joy to spend time with. I spent time playing and blowing bubbles with him prior to this image being taken. The joy and innocence in his eyes while we were playing was amazing.

The Maasai tribe that I spent time living with in Tanzania were some of the happiest people I have ever met in my life. They did not have much in terms of physical belongings, but they proved to me that they had everything they needed to get by and be happy. They had their family and their friends and they could rely on each other to make sure that everyone was taken care of.

My time spent with the Maasai was such a life changing experience and I will cherish all of the memories that I have of that time with them.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. You are awesome. This is my entry for the #monomad challenge. You can check out the post here: MONOMAD - August 22nd.
