Blue Öyster Cult - Veteran of the Psychic Wars
This Blue Öyster Cult song might be called art metal. It certainly isn't a heavy metal song by today's standards.
When it was released, in 1981 animated movie Heavy Metal, it was a blast. And it still is a wonderful and haunting rhapsody.
Dive deep into the song, be careful that the guitar solo from fifth minute onwards doesn't suck you in too deep.
I have a VHS tape of this cult movie. Have to dig it out and play it one of these days ...
