Indonesian National Holiday - May 29, 2018, Waisak Day | A review of religious tolerance in Indonesia.

Hello all steemians. Good day everybody. Enjoy the national holiday.

Indonesia is a country with high population. Even every year its population is increasing. Indonesia also has a high diversity, both ethnicity, culture, language and religion. Currently there are six religions in the population, namely Islam, Catholicism, Protestantism, Hinduism, Buddhism and Confucianism.

Each religion has its day. Where every holiday is made a national holiday. Today May 29, 2018 coincides with the celebration of Waisak Day, which is celebrated by Buddhist communities.

The most popular celebration of Waisak Day in Indonesia is held in Borobudur. Borobudur is a large Buddhist temple that hosts a Waisak Day festival. Every year, many Buddhists from all over Indonesia make a pilgrimage to Borobudur.

For non-Buddhist people not celebrating Waisak Day, they enjoy their day off with various other activities.
