Music - The power it has on the mind/mental health

Music is an amazing invention that for centuries we have used it for events like weddings, funerals and parties. There is a genre for every mood and its so powerful because the musicians put emotions into it that we can all connect too

We all connect in different ways, for me sometimes when anxiety makes me feel numb I draw out how I feel with emotional music or comfort me when I'm feeling low. It can be used to motivate you when your exercising or get your mind in the write focus trying to do school/college work.

Music for mental health issues can be really helpful, it can lighten any bad mood and make you feel a bit happier. Its a helpful tool for your mental health when you might not have realised it and I recommend it if you don't already use it as a coping mechanism.

I often use music to get me motivated and energized to write a post on this blog as it helps me get into a good mood and helps me make more sense as if I'm not feeling good I write a load of rubbish and have to keep re-writing my work until it is good haha. I love electronic music that has an emotional feeling to it because I feel like I connect with how I feel with my own mental health issues and the other things in my life and just nod my head as you do to a track you like haha.
