#13: Its all about Meditation..

Hey Guys!!

The habit of meditation is one of the most powerful things I’ve ever learned. It's almost a week since I've been into the practice of meditation. Amazingly, it’s also the simplest habits to do — you can do it anywhere, any time.

It is my brother who motivated me to meditate. I always thought that sitting to focus on one thing for hours is not my forte but it’s to form the daily habit of meditation that matters. I just commit my 10 minutes each day and it feels so fresh the entire day. Also, early morning is the best time to meditate as you get busy with the latter part of the day.

Studies show that meditation can decrease stress, increase focus, and even provide relief for suffers from chronic pain and illness which is 100% true. But the fact remains that meditation isn’t easy, especially for those of us who struggle to turn off the mental chatter and the buzz of thoughts of work, bills, family, and all the other stresses of modern day life.
With our busy lives and the often welcome (yet unfulfilling) distractions technology provides, it’s important to make time to simply sit with your thoughts. Meditation helps you understand yourself better and form a self-awareness level.

Meditation can be as simple as paying attention to your breath while sitting in your car or while sitting at the coffee shop or in your office/ college. Meditation requires a little bit of effort and a lot of conviction. There are times when it becomes very difficult to quiet your mind. You just can’t bring yourself to settle down and meditate. You keep thinking about pending assignments, or conversations that should have gone differently.

But bringing back your attention is what meditation is. It builds up with practice. You get your focus on place. Also, your concentration level increases with meditation. I am a more calm and peaceful person than I used to be.

And that's it. It's a simple practice guys that gives a tremendous positive result.
