37 people spent 24 hours on the bus, fleeing from a snowstorm

On March 1 and 2 in Norilsk there was a terrible snowstorm, the road connection between the cities was interrupted. A lot of people stayed awake and could not get to work or home. The city leadership decided to stop work in some factories.
The air temperature was about -15 degrees Celsius, the wind speed reached 33 m/s.
Residents of the city are used to such weather conditions, but this time the blizzard was really terrible.
For 37 people, cold buses for almost 24 hours were the only shelter from bad weather. Workers of the company "Thyssen Shachtbau" returned home after the evening shift. We passed 500 meters and stood up. Snowstorms, crossings and drifts. One of the bus passengers told about what happened on the night of March 1. The hope for a quick rescue disappeared when the bus ran out of fuel and the battery landed. To save people, special equipment and rescuers were involved.

You can see for yourself in the photos what happened to people and snowplows.
