We traveled 30 miles into the Gulf of Mexico to try and Hang a few fish and boy did we. Our target species, the Mangrove Snapper were out in full force. Did you know, Adults and juvenile snapper both have been found in freshwater lakes and rivers in south Florida, indicating that the species is tolerant of a broad range of salinity levels.
We also caught a good variety of fish ranging from Flounder, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Yellow Tail Snapper, and American Red Snapper.
The absolute best bait of choice is no other then the Mahara AKA Sand Perch. This bait is better then NEO right now if you ask me, but that's just my opinion.
Before the afternoon thunder storms kicked up we were throttle down heading to the docks to clean some fish.
