AK Tiny Home Build (Part 11)- Entryway

Pwc #1.jpg

Welcome back to another AK Tiny Home Build. If you have seen other parts of the tiny home build process, you are probably asking yourself, haven't they gone pallet wood crazy already. The answer is YES!!!We went crazy on the Pallet Wood Ceiling and Under the Loft where we used pallet wood to finish the back wall and trim out a window.

We keep finding new and higher levels of crazy, which you also call appreciation of pallet wood.

(Below) This is the pallet wood wall of fame finished. We used the wood planer to make all the boards the same thickness of 1/2 inch. We also decided to use 2 inch galvanized metal siding screws to secure the wood to the studs. We did this for a contrast of metal and wood.

When we decided to build a tiny home the first thing we bought was the Cubic Mini Cub. This a tiny wood burning sailboat fireplace made in Canada and is one of the cutest things you will ever see.

If you are building or have a small structure that you need to heat I would keep this company in mind. They have 2 different tiny wood stoves to offer and they are very easy to install. Plus their customer services is very helpful.

WE LOVE OUR CUBIC MINI CUB!!!! .....can you tell?

To stick with the re-used theme, we decided to put some scrap metal siding at the top of the wall to help reflect light that comes through the window. Below that we put 3/8 inch tongue and groove bead board.

To finish it all off we added some old license plates for a heat shield and used another piece of pallet wood with antique coat hooks.

If you have any questions or comments we would love to see them.

Take care my fellow Steemians,
Brandon
