In search of some nice Mountain Landscapes

On my hiking trips in the Austrian Alps in the last years I was able to take several nice pictures of Mountains and Mountain lakes here in Austria. One of the mountains I like very much is Austrians biggest mountain the Grossglockner. It has very nice lakes and with the Hochalpenstraße you can get really high also by car. Every summer thousands of people visit this place to see the beauty of the nature there.

At the high mountain reservoir Mooserboden you can find one of Austrian biggest dams with a water power plant that produces a lot of clean energy. If you have the luck to get there on a nice and beautiful day you can really take some nice pictures because the water from the glaciers there is very clean and has a beautiful blue and green color that just looks amazing. The nice weather in combination with the little clouds on the sky made the scene magical. Only because of the clouds I got this really nice saturated colors of the sky and the water as well of the green grass.

Then there are these magical moment when you find some small ponds up there, this one was situated near the accomodation where we spent the night. After dinner, we went back outside to take some pictures just before the sun set. I took several longtime exposure shots. Unfortunately we couldn't see anything from the sunset because the sun hid behind the mountains, but we could see the light getting fewer and fewer.
