보이스 피싱(사실 요즘은 보이스 피싱이라 부르기 어려울 정도로 다양한 피싱 사기들이 생겨났지만, 우리 회사에선 실무적으로 모두 보이스 피싱이라 부르기도 합니다.) 피해를 입은 피해자들입니다.
이렇게 steem에 글을 쓰면서도 가상화폐에 대해 잘 아는 것은 아니지만, 랜썸웨어 해커 조직이 암호를 풀어주는 조건으로 비트코인을 요구한 사건이 작년 비트코인 광풍에 큰 홍보역할을 했단 사실은 저뿐만 아니라 많은 분들이 알고 계실거라 생각합니다.
랜섬웨어에는 이메일이나 웹을 통해 내 컴퓨터에 침입한 해커가 컴퓨터에 저장된 폴더나 파일에 암호를 설정하고 이를 풀어주는 조건으로 금전을 요구하는 수법입니다. 최근 해커들이 현금대신 비트코인을 요구하는 경우가 생겨난 것이지요.
4차 산업이나 블록 체인의 기술이 부정적으로 사용되는 대표적인 사례라고 할 수 있습니다.
참 아이러니 한 것은, 이런 최첨단 기술이 범죄에 악용되는 반대편에는 오히려 아주 직관적인 수법들이 존재하기도 한다는 점입니다.
몇일 전, 버스터미널에서 2700만원을 누군가에게 건네줬는데 사기를 당한 것 같다는 신고가 있었습니다. 최근 은행들이 범죄에 사용될 우려가 있다는 이유로 통장 발급을 제한하고, 또 송금하는 형태의 사기을 막기 위해 일정금액 이상에 대해서는 이체 후 일정 시간이 경과된 이후에 출금이 가능하게 한 지연인출제도가 생기면서 유행하는 이른바 대면편취형 보이스 피싱이었습니다.
주로 노인층을 상대로 국가기관을 사칭하면서 계좌에 있는 돈이 범죄에 악용되었다던지, 비자금으로 사용되었다던지 하는 식으로 속여 돈을 찾게 만들고 직접 만나서 받아 가거나 심지어 집에 있는 냉장고나 세탁기에 돈을 숨겨두라고 하고 집을 비우게 만들어 찾아가게도 하는 수법입니다.
저희도 이런 범죄를 막기 위해서 지역 은행을 돌며 홍보활동을 하기도 합니다.
그런데 이번 신고는 노인이 아닌 젊은 아가씨가 피해자였습니다. 이 글을 읽으시면서 아직도 저런 사기에 당하는 사람이 있을까하는 의문을 가질 수도 있지만,
사람이 속으려고 하면 뭔가에 홀린 듯 그렇게 당하고 마는 것 같습니다.
얼마 전에는 어떤 판사님이 자녀를 납치했다는 전화에 돈을 건네 준 일도 있었으니까요.
신고자는 자신의 통장이 대포통장으로 사용되어 예금이 위험하다는 말을 듣고 통장에 있던 돈을 모두 출금했고, 범죄에 사용된 자금이 아닌지 확인이 필요하다는 말에 그 돈을 건넸습니다.
그리고 아차싶은 생각에 신고를 한 것이지요.
대부분의 피싱 사기는 외국에 있는 콜센터나 홈페이지를 이용하기 때문에 추적이 어렵습니다. 나중에 다시 이야기 하겠지만 그런 이유로 피해회복도 쉽지 않습니다.
골프장 캐디로 일하며 몇 년을 아껴 모았을 그 돈을 모두 잃어버리고 망연자실하는 피해자의 모습이 어쩌면 나에게 찾아올 일이 될 수도 있습니다.
행여 그런 전화를 받으신다면, 반드시 냉정하게 판단하십시오. 100% 모두 사기입니다.
세상의 발전에 따라 범죄도 발전합니다.
비트코인을 요구하는 해커가 생겨나기도 하고, 젊은 남성을 채팅으로 유혹해 알몸사진을 찍고 돈을 요구하는 수법도 최근 피해자가 많아지고 있습니다.

They're trying to trick the elderly into telling them to leave the money behind by pretending to be state agencies, hiding it in a slush fund, and they're even going home and asking them to leave it in the refrigerator and get it done.
We also do promotional work around local banks to prevent these crimes.
But the report was made by a young lady, not an old man. As you read this, you may question if anyone is still affected by such deception.
When a person tries to be fooled, it's as if they're being held in by something.
Not long ago, a judge gave money to a phone call that said he had kidnapped a child.
When the whistleblower was told that his account was a cannon account and that he was at risk of deposits, he withdrew all of the money from his account and made sure it was not funds used for the crimes.
And I reported it because I wanted to be a father.
Most phishing scams are hard to track because they use call centers or homepages overseas. And I'll tell you later, it's not easy to recover.
Maybe it's time I came to see a victim who lost all her money and was devastated because she'd saved a few years working as a caddie.
If you ever receive a call like that, be sure to make a calm judgment. 100 % are all deception.
Crime is also developed as the world develops.
Some hackers ask for Bitcone, and more recently victims are luring young men into chat to take nude pictures and ask for money.
Remember, there are lots of evil people out there who are looking for your precious wealth.
