Unlike nearby Koh Chang, Koh Kood is not a party island, we were there in low season, but even in full swing there is not a lot of night life. That is its charm, it is ripe for eco-tourism and actually has it already by virtue of what has not been done. It really is largely unspoiled.
Its a great family destination, we saw this group of hairless monkeys playing near the water...(sorry honey)
I am told that like Koh Chang, during the South West Monsoon there is some surf suitable for SUP, stand up paddle board surfing or long board riding. The idiot in the photo could not wait for the that however...

We live in Pattaya just 3 hours drive north, that used to be a paradise also... its amazing how much damage 30 years and 300 million tonnes of concrete can do in the name of progress. The water in this photo is pristine, there are crabs under every rock and more coloured fish than a Pixar Movie.
