Hello communities! After a long time we want to blog here again. It's been exactly five years since my dad created this account for me. We discovered Steemmonsters back then and still play it today.
I was eight years old at the time and my dad blogged for me. I couldn't read or write. That's different now. I read whole books for the first time when I was about 12, and thanks to unschooling, without years of torment. At least in my mother tongue, German. I use translation programs for everything else. Which is often too time-consuming for me. That's why I simply don't read a lot of things in everyday life or prefer to ask someone. But maybe that will change if I blog with you here.
We were with friends the other day and were talking about tower defense games. A few names of games came up that we didn't knew at that time. I was able to try out one of them straight away. It's called Dome Keeper. I was able to play a few rounds to get to know it. However, spending 18 euros on it was too much for me because I don't have my own computer yet to play it as often as I want.
My dad then had the idea of earning the 18 euros by blogging and turning it into a project. His ulterior motive was that I wouldn't just be wasting my time. Instead, blogging could be a reason to play the game more. And playing could be a reason to blog more.
Overall, I don't really like the idea because I haven't really enjoyed writing yet. But I like the idea that I can play more than we usually find time for or arrange to play. And my dad wants to support me with my writing.
My dad had a similar idea when we started blogging about CoC together with my account here in August 2019. But we didn't stick with it. The idea came up again in January 2021 when I tried out dCity. But the game didn't grab me.
More than three years have passed since then and with Dome Keeper I now want to take on the challenge of making my first own blog series with it. I'm curious to see how long it will be...

Hallo Communities! Nach langer Zeit wollen wir hier wieder bloggen. Heute sind es genau fünf Jahre, dass mein Papa mir dieses Konto hier erstellte. Wir entdeckten damals Steemmonsters und spielen es bis heute.
Damals war ich acht Jahre alt und mein Papa hat für mich gebloggt. Ich konnte weder lesen noch schreiben. Das ist jetzt anders. Ich hab mit etwa 12 Jahren erstmals ganze Bücher gelesen, und das dank Unschooling ohne jahrelange Quälerei. Zumindest in meiner Muttersprache Deutsch. Für alles andere nutze ich Übersetzungsprogramme. Was mir oft zu aufwändig ist. Ich lese darum im Alltag vieles schlicht nicht oder frage lieber jemanden. Doch vielleicht ändert sich das ja auch, wenn ich hier mit euch blogge.
Neulich waren wir bei Freunden und sprachen über Tower Defense Spiele. Es fielen ein paar Namen von Spielen, die wir noch nicht kannten. Davon habe ich dann gleich eins ausprobieren können. Es heißt Dome Keeper. Ich konnte zum Kennenlernen ein paar Runden spielen. Dafür 18 Euro auszugeben war mir dann jedoch zu viel, denn ich habe noch keinen eigenen Computer, um es so oft ich will auch zu spielen.
Mein Papa hatte dann die Idee, die 18 Euro mit Bloggen zu verdienen und daraus ein Projekt zu machen. Sein Hintergedanke dabei ist, dass ich nicht nur meine Zeit wegspielen würde damit. Stattdessen könnte das Bloggen ein Grund dafür sein, das Spiel mehr zu spielen. Und Spielen könnte ein Grund dafür sein, mehr zu Bloggen.
Insgesamt gefällt mir die Idee nicht so richtig, denn ich habe bisher noch nicht wirklich Freude am Schreiben. Mir gefällt aber die Idee, dass ich mehr spielen kann, als wir gewöhnlich zum Spielen Zeit finden oder verabreden. Und mein Papa will mich beim Schreiben unterstützen.
So eine ähnliche Idee hatte mein Papa schonmal, als wir im August 2019 hier mit meinem Konto zusammen begannen, über CoC zu bloggen. Da sind wir jedoch nicht dran geblieben. Im Jannuar 2021 kam die Idee erneut auf, als ich dCity ausprobierte. Das Spiel hat mich jedoch nicht gepackt.
Seit damals sind mehr als drei Jahre vergangen und mit Dome Keeper will ich die Herausforderung jetzt annehmen, meine erste eigene Blog-Serie damit zu machen. Bin selbst gespannt, wie lang sie wird...
