Hello friends, Nice to meet you!! Greetings from Caracas with love.

This way I begin my introduction to this community with friendliness and optimism that, in spite of the circumstances, has always distinguished us Venezuelans.

I’m Yessika Rojas or Yessi for family and friends, I was born in the polemic but beautiful Valley de Caracas, Capital of my beloved country Venezuela.

I had the opportunity of studying English, language I got a liking to since I was very young and that I like using while singing which is my favourite hobby, that said, I’ve been able to combine two things I love and I’ll be sharing with you at some point.

I love and respect animals a lot, I’m one to break into tears when listening to an animal suffering. I’ve felt the joy of getting close to beautiful species. Later I will share that experience with you.

At this time, I’m working as assistant at an accounting office but I’ve played part at different work activities from phone operator, promoter, tutoring to recreator and children party decoration.

By not being able to finish university I’ve learn to find out other activities and developed many abilities which have helped me not only economically but in what I find more valuable than personal or spiritual growth.

It might not seem like it, but I have a disability. At the short age of 5 I lost half my visibility, unfortunately I developed a disease that affects adult people called Glaucoma, by it not being treated correctly by the specialist at the time I was left partially blind as a consequence.

So, since then, many of the activities trivial to a lot of people, where a real challenge to me, like going through school, high school, going out alone or simply make friends.

There are innumerable anecdotes I could talk about, like being called “Calimero” like the unfortunate chicken from the cartoon, to more sour ones like being object of jokes and having to leave my university career because the coordinator/teacher considered a person in my condition only should be a “Cook”.

As I said, the path has not been easy but you learn a lot by walking it. You learn to enjoy all the little things in life, even if you cannot see the stars on the firmament, have a degree, or recognize a friend greeting you from the distance, you learn to see with your heart, to value not only your own effort but that of others around you, you learn to appreciate and respect life in all of its tones and even if it seems difficult or impossible you can achieve more than you could have ever imagine
.

I hope it is of your liking to be part in more of my anecdotes, photos, decorations, my voice or my advices even, for those of you that like me see little through their eyes but a lot from their heart's window.

Bye, see you later
