Hello Steemit! We are 'The Copper Children', a folk-indie-soul-psychedelic-rock band from Denver, Colorado!

We are the Copper Children. We apologize because we’re not sorry, we do because there is no trying, and we show because teaching is for the “other.” We are all sisters and brothers, copper indigo children from the same mother. In all we lay our trust because when there’s no you there’s just us. So come dance with us! We Love you!

Hello Steemians!

We are The Copper Children, an indie rock band from Denver, Colorado

PS: This is the second version of our introduceyourself, as we learned about Dtube and were told it would be a better place to upload our intro video than YT. Since the first post can't be deleted, looks like we're doubling this one up :-/

Here's our intro video

Our sound is a mix of indie-Americana, intertwined with soul-folk, influenced as much by mountain music as classic rhythm & blues. The band’s expressed musical functions are driven by a contemporary multi-focus genre, in which they challenges conventional thinking and preconceived notions of what soul-folk is, and aims to give an edge to the folk genre with unique instrumentation and songwriting.

Who are we?

Why Steemit

Our good friend @kennyskitchen has been telling us about Steemit for almost 2 years now, and it seems to be perfectly in line with our intention to share uplifting music with as many people as possible, as well as opening up avenues for abundance to flow to us. We all love creating & playing music, and not only is it exciting to be able to introduce ourselves to new listeners, but it is a powerful opportunity to stop feeding the mega-corporations who make up mainstream social media. Though we've just joined the platform, you can already find a video of one of our shows on Dtube:
