Hello, I am excited to join this community and build friendships.
This is my first social media outreach. Always intrigued by the previous social media platforms, I never joined because of many things, but mostly because "If your not paying for the service, then you're not the customer"
Learning about Steem is a task in and of itself, and I have a lot to learn.
What I think Steemit is:
I think it is a community of people that interact freely with each other.
Free exchange...knowledge is wealth and everyone gains.
I think (not sure) that it is uncensorable.
A communication platform that can change the world. Break the chains.
What I expect from Seemit:
To meet people... people different from me...people similar to me.
Gain friends.
Learn
It would be nice to make money, but I don't expect to.
If it cost money and/or effort to gain friends and learn, then so be it.

I have sailed over 10,000 miles, visiting 16 countries on a small modest old wooden sailboat.

Some of my favorite activities are: racing anything, boat building, mechanics, skateboarding, linux cli, homesteading, crypto, sewing, contemplating why.
