Kenya

Kenya is a country in East Africa with
coastline on the Indian Ocean. It
encompasses savannah, lakelands, the dramatic Great Rift Valley and mountain highlands. It's also home to wildlife like lions, elephants and rhinos. From Nairobi, the capital, safaris visit the Maasai Mara
Reserve, known for its annual wildebeest migrations, and Amboseli National Park, offering views of Tanzania's 5,895m Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Amboseli National Park is in southern
Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. Observation Hill offers panoramas of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species.
The western section is dominated by vast Lake Amboseli, which is dry outside the rainy season.

Did you know: On 29 September 2005,
Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki declared that control of the park should pass from the Kenya Wildlife Service to the Olkejuado
County Council and the Maasai tribe.

  1. A cultural Dance from the Maa Community The Maasai communities that live in the surrounding area are the most popular ethnic group in Africa. They have managed to
maintain their culture in a country that has adopted the Western way of life. Their traditional dance is perhaps the second most popular after the Zulu dance in South Africa.

  1. Photography
Amboseli National Park gives the beautiful backdrop of the scenic, ice-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain
in the world and Africa's highest point. The African jungle is not as thick as the one in Amazon, giving it a peculiar warm look. In
fact, the Savannah Grassland is the African equal of the rolling prairies of the Americas. In short, a visit to the Amboseli National Park will be your ultimate jungle adventure. If I
were you, I would camp in the wild and watch as the beautiful African night unfolds! Beware
the lion roars at night - some people have been known to pee their pants with fright.

So when you are planning a Trip to Africa don't forget Amboseli is the place to be.
