Paul Ryan is retiring from congress, Paul was called the intellectual leader by Mitt Romney of the post Bush GOP. Ryan's time in politics can only be seen as a tragedy. This is not saying that Paul Ryan is a evil human being its just that he pretty much betrayed all the causes he wanted to fix. Paul Ryan was a college student who had some idea about Mises and Hayek, Jack Kemp became Ryan's mentor and wanted him to be mainstream. Paul ran at a time when the federal government was running up the debt he won over the Wisconsin district by promising to fix social security and taxes. 
This all went out the window after 911 and Ryan became a reliable vote for military intervention and expanding the warfare state. Ryan would vote against spending bills, but the problem is Paul wanted things (which requires spending) War spending and war actions are far worse for the economy and the people's liberty then any other government program. Paul Ryan also supported expanding medicare back in 2003. The true solution to things like medicare, social security, or Americas money is to allow people the option to OPT OUT!! instead of being dependent on social security maybe American's should learn to save their money. I do believe that Paul Ryan went to Congress wanting to make his country better. Unfortunately he leaves it with his fingerprints all over policies that have burdened it with trillions of dollars in new debt, thousands of solders dead, a more dangerous world, and home of one of the most fearsome surveillance states in the world. Hopefully he return to Wisconsin and finds work outside of politics. The county does not need him to have any more influence in Washington. Thanks for reading guys and gals!
