No pictures of the chicken run addition. It's not 100% complete yet, but we did get a comfrey sprout today! Super cool to see things paying off every day.

So far most of our harvest has been eaten by Sam and the chickens, which is totally cool by everyone involved. I save money on chicken feed, Sam gets badass fresh cucumbers in his lunch every day (they're his favorite!), Melissa has one less thing to shop for, and it's a family effort!

I got the soaker hoses set up in the north and south beds. two 75 foot hoses, but the water doesn't distribute from them both the way I'd like. there's about ten feet at the end of either hose that doesn't get enough water. Not sure yet how I'll deal with it. Considering taping off every few inches to block a bit of the flow on the stronger end and better distribute the water.

Long post for steepshot, but I'm super stoked to harvest some comfrey and use it as fertilizer this spring! I think watering peas and clover (both nitrogen fixers) with comfrey tea (relatively low in nitrogen but high in everything else) will make some badass bigly fertile soil!
