HELP NEEDED: How Can U.S. Residents Exchange HIVE or HBD for USD or Bitcoin?

I’m reaching out to anyone who has actual, working experience exchanging HIVE or Hive Backed Dollars (HBD) for either U.S. dollars (USD) or Bitcoin (BTC).
My specific concern is finding a legitimate, reliable cryptocurrency exchange or platform that currently accepts customers residing in the United States.
I understand that HIVE and HBD can be exchanged for one another within the Hive ecosystem. However, my ultimate objective is to convert these tokens into spendable U.S. dollars that can be withdrawn to a U.S. bank account, or into Bitcoin that can be transferred to my personal BTC wallet.
Here are my questions:
- Which cryptocurrency exchanges currently accept HIVE or HBD deposits from U.S. residents?
- Can either token be exchanged directly for Bitcoin or USD, or is an intermediate conversion required?
- Is there a reliable method to accomplish this directly through Ecency, Hive, or another decentralized exchange?
- Has anyone in the United States successfully completed this process recently, including withdrawing the proceeds?
- If so, could you provide the name of the platform and a brief step-by-step explanation of how you accomplished it?
I’m particularly interested in firsthand experience rather than outdated exchange listings, platforms restricted to non-U.S. residents, or services that no longer support HIVE deposits.
I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone who has successfully converted HIVE or HBD into BTC or USD using a platform legally available to U.S. customers.
