EXODE packs revealed - and how to get onboard today!

ATTENTION all pilots!

All hands on deck!
EXODE is soon accepting visitors in its presale hangars.

Now is the time to stock up on assets, before entering the first playable content about one month later!

This article is one-parsec-long but is important.

It describes, for the first time ever, all packs proposed during the presale.
It gives you the price, the number of units issued, and the features.
You will know everything.

And you can come back to it later, of course. It's a long spacewalk in here!

Now let's see more of our EXODE world...

... spacewhoosh...

We had one week to share the news!

We published a roadmap, we released a wiki and an interview with @wilhb81.
Another excellent post was written by @takmaster4450!
And a great one yesterday by @battlegames.

So you all know we are a space strategy game launching on HIVE, and also the first new game dapp launching itself entirely on the HIVE blockchain. With its website here . (just a landing page at the moment, site comes online in a few hours!)

We also released a comprehensive document with our Game Manifesto.
We are scheduling an AMA session with the players from the discord Battlegames.
And we are of course welcoming many people every day on our discord!

A sequence from the announcement of EXODE concepts.

One could never mention enough our promotion video: feel free to check it, and enjoy the trip. Even if you have seen it once, it's still good the second time :-)

Right now we are setting up low-tech version of the shop, just in case "something bad happens".

So, we did a lot... yet there are so many unanswered questions.
We are a small team, and I could not reveal enough in time.

This post will detail many features and every one of our packs.
This way, you can keep it as a "reference card" for when the shop will open!

What can we find on presale?

You will be able to find these:

One of EXODE alpha starters: this one is the Navy Lieutenant Starter.

  • Starters are a collection of fixed cards.

EXODE presale will propose three thematic starters:
the Navy Lieutenant and his combat frigate, the best in space combat ;
the Ark Scientist and her Ark Ship, the best for nature, flora and fauna research ;
the Elected Leader with his increased population ship and his citizen management skills.

Each of these entry packs is at 5 USD.
40 000 of each are issued, enough for all players on alpha.

Starters are necessary to play the game because they have an Origin card, which defines the background, the ship and the randomized kind of crew you will have.

There is a promotional, not-so-many-around-but-still-enough-for-you triple-pack at 10 USD, for the people who do not like to choose and want to have an interesting offer with all three Origins.

There are 20 000 triple packs, thus increasing the number of seats, and making sure everything has a chance to have it.

Half of all presale packs (50 % units) will be made available tomorrow March 29th.

The other half will be released at increased prices after two weeks, then again after four weeks. This guarantees an opportunity to purchase packs and sell them.

We decided this because the Origin cards proposed (and other starter cards) are extremely useful and we wanted to make their market value interesting.

You will also find these:

Boosters (at 2 USD each, 200 000 units available with half of them on March 29th) can give you any kind of crew, ship, resource crate, but also one of the other rare Origins:

  • the Secret Agent and his stealthy ship ;
  • the Repentant Pirate and his criminal crew :
  • the Cruise Ship Captain who has the largest passenger ship by far ;
  • and the Stranded Trader with the largest cargo hold.

Cards in EXODE follow a regular rarity system, with Common cards, Rare, Epics and 1% chance Legendaries. There is also a 2 % chance to receive a superior version, the Elite cards.

Elite is similar to the "goldfoil" of other CCGs. We got inspired by the most excellent games; such as Splinterlands, which you should definitely try as it is a model of everything good in blockchain games.

Cards are an excellent way to represent NFTs (non-fungible tokens), and almost all of EXODE is made of tradable NFTs to purchase and sell between players.

But the main difference is that it is very important to note that EXODE is not a traditional CCG in any way.

We define ourselves as a "CSG" (collectible strategy game) ; our cards do not have attack, defense, health; they are not drawn; there is no matchmaking ; and we don't propose short-time battles. Instead, we focus on giving you an immense space trip where your adventure in a game can last for days or usually weeks, and sometimes months.

Add some of the most original features:

EXODE's space theme and blockchain are merging together, and the union gives new ideas too.

We have designed eight promo cards which cannot be found in boosters or after presale.
Each represents some kind of unique option for your game.

I believe the Contracts Offers are really representative of the best of it.

This contract from Rekatron Corporation guarantees you rewards dropped to your account every week. The drops start as soon as the game opens door for the Evacuation scene end April, or even some days before.

Rekatron specializes on "offensive defense" so you'll find many unique personal weapons. They are ideal for the colonization gameplay to come, perfect for defending against planetary beasts or a ground attack.

The lifetime contracts are expensive but give unique equipment which cannot be found in boosters or after presale. They are high in demand but in extremely low supply, with only 800 of them available on March 29th (and 800 more released at higher price later).

They are proposed at 40 USD; and increase price to 60 USD at end of presale.

Contracts can be used once on an account, but unused contracts can be resold to players. Also, the equipment dropped can be sold to the market, making profits every week.

"Tom Settlers, your Buddy in Space!" sponsors another delivery contract.

This one is extremely important for colonization gameplay as it provides the most essentials (such as a water-hydrogen converter or other niceties of the 24th century). Alternative equipment can be found in boosters, but Tom Settlers deliveries ensures you always get something to send to the colony you want (or to friends you have, or guildmates in need of equipment).

The delivery contract has the same price (and supply) as Rekatron. We believe Tom can make you "all set" for colonization, stockpiling colonization resources for "the big day".

The last and most interesting or all contracts, and possibly of the entire alpha collection, is the Syndicate Contract.

You get 3 drops every week, which may sound low. But these drops have high chances of being Epic unique Crew, passengers, ships, weapons and more.

Some examples are:

  • Yakuza Ships ; hi-tech combat ships adapted to stealthy and deadly combat.
  • Syndicate Hackers, who are among the best.
  • Syndicate Implants.
  • Syndicate Narcotics.
  • Holomovies to entertain your population
  • Yakuza crew.
  • Or civilians such as Geishas, researchers, ...

One card only has very low chances of dropping, and it is the Kumicho, the syndicate kingpin.
The Kumicho is a legendary character. His special power is to dramatically increase the level, efficiency and loyalty of all Syndicate characters you have... as long as he lives and is happy with you.

The Syndicate sponsorship is extremely low in supply, with only 350 cards on March 29th and 350 more released later in presale. It is the most expensive card too, at 80 USD on presale and increasing to 120 then 140 at end presale. Of course it is then interesting to get that card early, before the increase in price two weeks later.

The advantage is also that the contract can be resold to the player market (if you don't use it yourself, or if you purchased several).

The angle behind such an incredible gameplay but such a price is that the contract drops must not hinder the player market and production itself.

The Syndicate is cool, the rewards are huge, and the rewards can be sold to the player market for profit. However, with 3 epic drops per week and only 700 cards in total supply, this should not influence the player market badly and certainly not give less use to all other cards.

Space Escorts and other Launch Assets

Escort ships such as Vega Security or the Ion Guards are assets available during the Evacuation Scene. Vega is made of elite fighter pilots which can survive long when not outnumbered and Ion Guards has capable sturdy frigates to act as shield buffers.

They are proposed at 10 USD only, with 5000 units in supply (2500 released on March 29th).

As you'll discover when playing end April, a large human space force is desesperately fighting to its last breath to give time to you, the escape captains, to embark passengers.

During this last battle, you may call on your Escort Ships to act and make your Evacuation longer and safer. (thanks to their sacrifice). The cards, like all Launch assets, are never lost, they are only connected to a game.

The Evacuation Scene has already been confirmed as a playable content which will give special rewards, available only during alpha and including possibilities to earn legendary cards. This is to reward players for waiting until the colony management becomes playable.

There are a few more packs - like the Killer Robot and Galvin-4, the diplomatic Droid - and there will be a second post. Please make sure to reach out to us on Discord if you want to know more about them. Or just read this post from @wilhb81 ; as he mentions them!

We are working very hard to get presale ready for today, 3 PM UTC on our website.
See you soon in EXODE!
