Plastilina, imaginación y aprendizaje (Esp/Ing)

La cara de disfrute de los niños mientras realizan actividades educativas es un buen indicador de que vamos por buen camino. El aprendizaje y la diversión deberían ir de la mano en estas etapas, pues si los pequeños observan que se les obliga, todo se vuelve tedioso, difícilmente se saque un provecho significativo.

The look of enjoyment on children's faces as they engage in educational activities is a good indicator that we are on the right track. Learning and fun should go hand in hand in these stages, because if the little ones observe that they are forced, everything becomes tedious, it is difficult to get a significant benefit.

Hace unos días nos pusimos a moldear con plastilina. Es impresionante cómo han modificado este material hasta convertirlo en una masa muy suave que no mancha, no se adhiere a los dedos y es más sencilla de utilizar. Los niños aman este contacto porque pueden amasar, estirar, dividir y darle la forma que deseen.

A few days ago we started molding with plasticine. It is impressive how they have modified this material into a very soft dough that does not stain, does not stick to the fingers and is easier to use. Children love this contact because they can knead, stretch, divide and shape it as they wish.

De allí que puedan dar rienda a la imaginación con la plastilina, crear objetos, personas, frutas o animales, es decir, lo pensado se transforma en sus manos. La inspiración puede venir de cualquier parte y eso es importante porque no hay límites a la hora de moldear y construir.

That's why they can give free rein to their imagination with plasticine, create objects, people, fruits or animals, that is to say, whatever they think is transformed in their hands. Inspiration can come from anywhere and that is important because there are no limits when it comes to molding and building.

Además esta práctica permite que jueguen con los colores, los memoricen y puedan mezclarlos para crear nuevos, así amplian sus conocimientos en lo que respecta a tonos primarios y secundarios, aprenden jugando y de forma espontánea.

In addition, this practice allows them to play with colors, memorize them and mix them to create new ones, thus expanding their knowledge of primary and secondary tones, they learn by playing and spontaneously.

La plastilina, además, permite mejorar las destrezas motoras, influyendo de forma positiva en la habilidad con los dedos, esa motricidad fina que contribuye con la escritura, el dibujo, habilidades que se deben potenciar durante la niñez.

Plasticine also improves motor skills, positively influencing finger skills, that fine motor skills that contribute to writing and drawing, skills that should be promoted during childhood.

El juguete que utilizamos, además de la plastilina, trae pequeños moldes plásticos de diversas formas, así que los niños aplastaban la masa y colocaban encima los moldes para luego extraer la figura que deseaban. El procedimiento es muy parecido al utilizado para hacer galletas. De igual forma, en la tapa de los envases están estampados otras figuras (carros, dinosaurio y ponque), así que al hacer presión la plastilina logra replicar el diseño con cada detalle.

The toy we used, in addition to the plasticine, comes with small plastic molds of various shapes, so the children crushed the dough and placed the molds on top of it to then extract the figure they wanted. The procedure is very similar to the one used to make cookies. Similarly, other figures (cars, dinosaurs and cakes) are stamped on the lids of the containers, so by applying pressure, the plasticine is able to replicate the design in every detail.

Disfrutamos esta actividad, el tiempo pasó volando, jugaron y aprendieron, sin necesidad de apegarse a teléfonos, computadoras u otros dispositivos electrónicos. También nos sirvió de terapia porque la mente estuvo centrada en otra actividad y no en los avatares cotidianos.

We enjoyed this activity, the time flew by, they played and learned, without the need to be attached to phones, computers or other electronic devices. It also served as therapy for us because the mind was focused on another activity and not on the daily vicissitudes.
