Bruce groaned as he looked up into the barrel of a pistol.
Lilac charged forward, and the man calmly leveled his pistol and fired at the ground in front of her horse.
"Get off the horse, or your friend is dead." He said, pointing the pistol at Bruce again.
Lilac dropped the reins, and slowly dismounted.
"Let him go! I'm the one you want." She said bitterly.
"Sorry ma'am, the boss wants both of you." He said grinning, with mock politeness.
After she was finished checking on Bruce and helping him up, the man, pistol still on both of them, gave a shrill whistle.
A few minutes later, they heard a shout in the distance. "WHERE ARE YOU!?!?!" Their captor shouted back. This continued until the two were reunited.
"What took you so long?!??!?" Asked the man who had captured them.
"I came as fast as I could! You know I've never been on a horse, Marv." He grumbled.
"Tie these two up, before anything else happens." Said Marv.
Once Bruce and Lilac were tied and slung over their horses, the group began moving. Now and then one of the men would pull out a mobile phone, and hold it high, then look at it and curse.
After what seemed like forever and skirting several more estates, they reached the edge of a small town, and were able to get a signal.
"Yes boss, both are alive.
Yes boss, right away." Said Marv.
"Grady, you walk into town, and rent a car." Said Marv.
"Why can't I just take the horse?" Asked Grady.
"Think about it, numbskull!" Thundered Marv. He then shook his head, and muttered "Now he wants to ride!".
Grady began walking toward the buildings, all the while complaining about his situation...
