⭐✍️ SCRIBE SPOTLIGHT πŸ‘πŸŽ‰ kemmyb πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸŽ‡πŸŒ»

Fellow Scholars and Scribes! I bid you welcome to the first annual SCRIBE SPOTLIGHT! πŸ™Œ several mosh pits erupt everywhere πŸ™Œ

At the end of each year, we will take a couple of weeks (maybe more actually, probs like a month at this point πŸ˜…) to highlight our most diligent and talented authors. 😱

Our primary metric for choosing is the amount of SCRIBE you've generated.

Of course, there are other factors at play: your activity in the community, the number of writings you have posted, as well as your overall conduct with other members.

All quotes in this showcase are from the spotlighted creator's works.

Our last two spotlights are of Scribes with a deft penship. The first is no stranger to anyone browsing the writing communities of Hive. Someone who we are proud to call one of our own. My fellow writing enthusiasts, I brind to you... πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯

πŸ‘ kemmyb πŸ‘

@kemmyb is a part of every writing community out there. However, she has been a Scribe since the inception of the community, and for someone with her prolific talent to join us at such an early stage of our journey, meant a lot. πŸ’―

Kemster is known for her varied approach to both style and content. She is a kindred spirit of mine in the sense that she prefers writing fantasy (something anyone with an iota of sense would prefer as well, of course). 😀

But she is not beholden to the genre or its trappings. Chosing to focus on her craft above all. Something I personally have always respected. 😌

Chosing on which part of her catalog to focus on was a real head scratcher. But at the end of the day you can't go wrong with kemmy. So will just follot our heart as it were.

She has recently expanded on her catalog with poetry. Her latest shows an unconventional verse structure that serves the duality of this poem really well. I love when the approach matches the content in this way. Something highly undervalued by readers but hard to pull off.

The sight of sunflowers, tall and bright
Golden petals shining in the light
Portraying gifts of friendship and stories yet untold
Of joy and happiness to behold

As for her prose, I really enjoy Snow's Time To Fly. Her use of dialogue shines here, but is not the only thing worth a merit. If you have the time, I recommend you give it a read.

"Daughter, please. I worry…" Amira started to say when Snow turned to look at her mother, her amber eyes glowing brightly in sharp contrast to her silky ebony hair. The colour of her hair was the only feature Snow got from her. She always cut it short to frame her oval face. Every other feature was from her father.

Even though see prefers one-off stories, @kemmyb is no stranger to serialized content. As is the case with the three parter The Mystery Call.

I shrugged. "It could be an emergency," I moved around him to reach my phone. He sighed. A glance at the screen revealed a number I was not familiar with. I hurriedly pressed the red button, perching it between my ear and shoulder while I kneaded his shoulder, my way of calming him. Jacob raised and dropped his hand in resignation and walked out of our bedroom.

I would be amis not to mention @kemmyb's pleasant and approachable self. Always happy and enthusiastic for her work, she shows how to be a Scribe with grace. And I personally hope she's a part of our continued growth as much as she was at our inception. 🍻
