At the end of each year, we will take a couple of weeks (maybe more actually 😅) to highlight our most diligent and talented authors. 😱
Of course, there are other factors at play: your activity in the community, the number of writings you have posted, as well as your overall conduct with other members.

This crazy lad is currently developing a Sci-Fi Space-Opera by himself! 😁 I told him he was craycray, but he doesn't listen! I guess it's his mission to outdo everyone. 🤷♂️
In all seriousness @killerwot's series - tentatively titled Off-World - is something else. I have always wanted to World Build a series as grand as this one but it takes time and dedication that I just lack. However, killer sees Mt. Everest and decides he's gonna be the Iceman and climb it in his shorts. 😂

All the noise of cheering had him overwhelmed with joy, mixed in with the joy, however, Ohearah was choked by dread. Dread of what will happen to the planet below, what will happen to the men left down there, he felt guilt for sending the squad to their end.
@killerwot's style is most certainly unconventional. Not bad mind you, far from it. His long paragraphs and uncharacteristic weaving of sentences make his writing feel fresh to read and easy to understand. 💯
Craziest thing? He is only getting better. 😤
The ship made it to the pad, it was clear, apart from two other transporters with their doors open. But, there was no personnel on the pad, no one was expecting a few humans and the immediate area didn't seem to be overly defended. After the ship came to a solid stand still Quim turned to the others. "Let's take up a position outside. We'll take them by surprise." The others nodded and he turned the engines of the ship off and opened the main door. They stepped outside into a dull afternoon. From this high up, the air wasn't as noxious and stale as it was on the ground, the place still stank of Trisk though. Quim, Lags, and Fretis rushed out of the ship and took up a position behind some barrels, not far from the staircase leading up to the pad. There, they waited. They knew that when Triskens came up to unload the ship, the three of them would have a clear advantage and be able to shoot them down from behind.
We talked about worldbuilding, the mad lad is documenting the building of his world-building bible here on hive! This I find super cool and unique to witness. I haven't read nearly as much as it deserves, but the dedication and passion for building out this world are palpable. 🙇♂️
Jump Lanes
There are charted patches of space in both Free Space and The Confederation zone, these patches are known as Jump Lanes and they are essentially space highways, the reason for them is pretty simple.
@killerwot also showcases a determination for improving his craft. It is apparent he loves this world he is making, and loves sharing it as well. On a personal note, he has always been open and receptive to criticism and bettering himself. This is a required quality to become the authors we wish to be. 😎 My boy is killing it!
He doesn't write only in one universe, or one style! Here's a little taste of something completely different. 😁
"Good man, the stuff is getting expensive anyway." I let out a cheeky laugh as if I was joking, realistically though, I knew I wasn't. 23 euros now for a box. Times were getting tough.
