⭐✍️ SCRIBE SPOTLIGHT πŸ‘πŸŽ‰ jhymi πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸŒΈπŸ’ƒ

Fellow Scholars and Scribes! I bid you welcome to the second annual SCRIBE SPOTLIGHT! πŸ™Œ bottles break all over πŸ™Œ

Each year we take a month to celebrate and commemorate our most diligent and talented authors. πŸ•Ί

🧹 HOUSEKEEPING 🧹

Congratulations @sabrinah! You receive 1 HSBI for delightfully engaging on @justclickindiva's spotlight. πŸ™Œ

Still got one day to participate in the Scholar and Scribe Invitational. Festive edition! πŸŽ…

Criteria for being chosen:
Your staked Scribe; your activity in the community; the number of writings you have posted; as well as your overall conduct with other members.

All quotes in this showcase are from the spotlighted creator's works.

Our spotlight authors will receive 4 HSBI, 500 Ecency Points and 175 Pizza tokens as a token of the mod team's gratitude for their presence in the Scholar and Scribe community.

Next up we got a writer that's taking the Hive writing community by storm! An equal parts Scholar and Scribe and an all-around wonderful person. Dedicated to her craft and its improvement (and improvements are what we're about here). Guys, gals, and non-binary pals, it is my pleasure to bring to you... πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯

πŸ‘ jhymi πŸ‘

J (yes, that's your nickname now, accept it and move on) is one of the more engaging in S&S. Her comments are usually very well placed, and her enthusiasm for writing pours through each one. Scholar - βœ…. And her writings? Better by the day. She has a knack for taking criticism and encouraging it in her writing. Something I wish more people would do, honestly. Thus! Scribe - βœ….

Empowering one another to be better, while striving for self-improvement, is what we are all about in this community. I am privileged to put a spotlight on an author that does just that. 😊

CLICK HERE TO READ "Sixty Minutes"

Sixty Minutes is @jhymi's latest stand-alone story. Think it's better to share those than parts still in the middle of a series. In it, you can read J in her preferred First-person perspective (at least I assume it's her preferred). Although don't get it twisted, she is perfectly capable of writing Omnitiant and Third-person limited as well.

Ever since I moved into Uncle’s house, I’d come to value those sixty minutes like my life depended on it. And in a way it did, because the exact second that single hour was over, my life would be thrown into hell for the next eighteen hours or more. It was a hell I’d come to accept. A hell of my own making. What was the need fighting against something I had no control over? At least I had a roof over my head and food to eat. Sometimes.

And now for something completely different. 😁

CLICK HERE TO READ "About Bachelorette Parties...."

A wonderful slice-of-life story that just oozes character. A story that feels more like a chapter from a memoir than anything else. Maybe based on real-life experiences? πŸ€” What I love about this piece most is it highlights @jhymi best quality in my opinion - her dialogue. While she might be honing other parts of her writing, her dialogue remains perfect. It's realistic, it's snappy, it's great.

They were looking at me. They were all looking at me. With pity. Why were they looking at me with pity? On my wedding day? I knew at least ten expressions that were to be on the surrounding people’s faces on the day of the wedding, and none of them included pity.

This year J has become a regular to us, allowing me to witness her growth firsthand. I know, that with her traits and determination, she can go far. All one needs to be a good writer is to have a vision, and passion to see it through. I hope this spotlight motivates her to continue her journey. For I see a fruitful end in sight.
