This is the first time I've posted in the Hive Pets community and just as I'm really excited about doing something new, I'm also happy to be able to share here at Hive with you about my pet, which, in fact, is our new pet. member of the family upon recently arriving to us.
It had been a long time since we had an animal companion here at home, but my wife and children were really looking for a pet to play and have fun with, so we looked here in the condominium where we live, if anyone we knew had one. puppy for donation and luckily for us, we found “Mel” (the same honey as bees), our new Shih-Tzu companion.
These were the first photos we took of her, and her arrival was on 11/29/2023

When we saw her it was love at first sight, as we live in an apartment, we researched to find out that the Shih-Tzu breed is one of the best for this type of environment and how not to fall in love with all this cuteness. On this day when she arrived, we managed to take these photos, especially because on that day she was around 30 days old, I can't confirm clearly, because my wife mediated her arrival with her former owner, so She may know the exact day of her birth, but that doesn't hurt anything, after all, she was very calm and shy with so much news.
We can see that she has white and a very light brown color, in addition to the typical eyes of a Shih-Tzu, which in my opinion are much rounder and larger. She has a little brown mark on her belly, but I haven't been able to take this photo yet and I'll explain why.

Today, I believe she is close to 70 days old and well, she is such a playful person that no one can stop her, in that phase of her teeth being born and growing, she simply bites everything she finds in front of her, including our hands. We try to hold her to take a photo or cuddle. It's truly crazy because she bites everything, fingers, slippers, shoes, sneakers, paper, carpets, whatever is in front of her she bites!
Below are photos of her from yesterday, her hair is already much longer, so she seems to be quite big, but I believe that this impression is just her really big hair. We still can't take her to the pet shop to give her a good bath, because according to the woman who helped us there, she needs to have 4 vaccines first and in this case she's only had 2 yet, so we'll have to wait a little longer.
Of course, at home, we can give her a bath, very carefully, without letting the water get into her ears or get into her eyes, I believe we can trim some of her fur also with blunt scissors, I'll see about that with mine wife, because I believe that someone will have to hold her for the other person to cut, otherwise it will be impossible with so many bites.

My wife made this octopus doll (called an amigurumi) for our daughter when she was born, which is about 6 or 7 years old, but now, the toy belongs to Mel, so she can bite and play a lot. Not only that, below you can see the delicate bites that pierce our fingers, a great deadly cuteness from our little Mel. She spends hours like this, playing with my children, wife or even myself.

In addition to the restrictions of not being able to take a bath and groom in a pet shop, we were also recommended that she only eat the right food for puppies, that is, avoid eating anything else, such as rice, beans, meats, pasta, sweets and everything along these lines, as everyone knows, adults and children often drop crumbs from lunch or dinner and this can be bad for them.
Below you can see her ferociously biting one of my sock, but don't worry, this sock is clean, it had fallen and she already ran after it so she could get it, the funny thing is that we play as if it were a tug of war, I start pulling to my side and her to hers, of course we have to be careful not to pull too hard, as I believe that if that happens, we could hurt her teeth.
The bad thing is that there was one of my sneakers that she took and I didn't see and now it's a little chewed up, but that's okay with me, I think she enjoyed it too much haha.
Well, that was Mel's introduction to Hive, I hope to continue bringing more of her content to you, as I have a few things in mind. I want to try to show you later how she plays with my daughter, with the two of them running around the house and having fun until they get tired.
With that, I couldn't miss a photo with her, even though I couldn't make her look at me, I think this photo turned out very pretty and cool. I'm loving this experience with her and I'm having a lot of fun too, because Mel loved our family and we love her back.
As many say and experience these special moments, having a pet at home makes all the difference, it is a great companion for life!

Essa é a primeira vez que posto na comunidade Hive Pets e assim como estou com uma ansiedade enorme por estar fazendo algo novo, também estou feliz em poder compartilhar aqui na Hive com vocês, sobre minha pet, que, na verdade, é a nossa nova integrante da família ao chegar recentemente para nós.
Fazia um bom tempo que não tínhamos um companheiro animal aqui em casa, mas, a minha esposa e meus filhos estavam querendo muito um pet para brincar e se divertir, então com isso, buscamos aqui no próprio condomínio onde moramos, se algum conhecido tinha algum cachorrinho para doação e para nossa sorte, encontramos a “Mel” (o mesmo mel das abelhas), nossa nova companheira da raça Shih-Tzu.
Essas foram as primeiras fotos que tiramos dela, sendo que sua chegada foi no dia 29/11/2023

Quando a vimos foi amor a primeira vista, como moramos em apartamento, pesquisamos para saber que a raça Shih-Tzu é uma das melhores para este tipo de ambiente e como não se apaixonar nessa fofura toda. Neste dia quando ela chegou, conseguimos tirar essas fotos, até porque neste dia ela estava com algo em torno de 30 dias de vida, não tenho como confirmar com clareza, porque a minha esposa que intermediou com a sua antiga dona a sua chegada, então ela talvez saiba o dia exato do seu nascimento, mas, isso não é nada que atrapalhe em alguma coisa, afinal, ela estava bem tranquila e tímida com tantas novidades.
Podemos observar que ela têm as cores branco e um marrom bem clarinho, além dos olhos típicos de um Shih-Tzu, sendo na minha opinião bem mais redondos e grandes. Ela tem uma marquinha marrom na barriguinha, mas ainda não consegui tirar essa foto e explicarei o porquê.

Hoje, acredito que ela está com algo próximo de 70 dias de vida dela e bem, ela está uma brincalhona que ninguém consegue segurar, naquela fase dos dentinhos nascendo e crescendo, simplesmente ela morde tudo o que encontra pela frente, inclusive nossas mãos se a gente tenta segurar ela para tirar uma foto ou fazer um carinho. É uma verdadeira loucura porque ela morde tudo, dedos, chinelos, sapatos, tênis, papel, tapetes, o que tiver na frente ela morde!
Abaixo, são fotos dela de ontem, seus pelos já estão bem maiores, então ela está parecendo estar bem grande, mas acredito que essa impressão é apenas o pelo grande mesmo. Ainda não podemos levar no pet shop para dar um bom banho nela, porque segundo a mulher que nos atendeu lá, ela precisa tomar primeiro 4 vacinas e no caso só tomou 2 ainda, então, teremos que esperar um pouco mais.
Claro que em casa, podemos dar um banho nela, com todo cuidado, sem deixar a água entrar nos seus ouvidos ou pegar nos seus olhos, acredito que podemos aparar um pouco do seu pelo também com uma tesoura sem ponta, verei isso com a minha esposa, porque acredito que alguém terá que segurar ela para a outra pessoa corta, senão será impossível diante de tantas mordidas.

Esse boneco de polvo (chamado de amigurumi) foi minha esposa que fez para a nossa filha quando ela nasceu, o que já têm uns 6 ou 7 anos, mas agora, o brinquedo é da Mel, para ela poder morder e brincar bastante. Não somente isso, abaixo vocês podem ver as delicadas mordidas que furam nossos dedos, uma grande fofura mortal da nossa pequena Mel. Ela passa horas assim, brincando com meus filhos, esposa ou até comigo mesmo.

Além das restrições de não poder tomar um banho e tosa em um pet shop, nos foi recomendado ainda que ela coma apenas a ração certa para filhotes, ou seja, evitar que ela coma qualquer outra coisa, como, por exemplo, arroz, feijão, carnes, macarrão, doces e tudo que segue essa linha, como todos sabem, adultos e crianças muitas vezes deixam cair migalhas de um almoço ou jantar e isso pode fazer mal para ela.
Abaixo vocês podem ver ela mordendo ferozmente uma meia minha, mas não se preocupem, essa meia está limpa, ela havia caído e ela já correu atrás para poder pegar, o engraçado é que a gente brinca como se fosse um cabo de guerra, eu começo a puxar para o meu lado e ela para o dela, claro que temos que ter cuidado para não puxar com força, pois acredito que se isso acontecer, podemos machucar seus dentinhos.
Ruim é que teve um tênis meu que ela pegou e eu não vi e agora ele está um pouco mastigado, mas, tudo bem para mim, acho que ela se deliciou demais com ele haha.
Bem, essa foi a apresentação da Mel para a Hive, espero continuar trazendo mais conteúdo dela, para vocês, pois tenho algumas coisas em mente. Quero tentar mostrar depois para vocês como ela brinca com a minha filha, com as duas correndo pela casa e se divertido até cansar.
Com isso, não poderia faltar uma fotinha com ela, apesar de que não consegui fazer ela olhar para mim, acho que essa foto ficou bem bonita e legal. Estou amando essa experiência com ela e estou me divertindo muito também, pois a Mel amou a nossa família e a amamos de volta.
Como muitos dizem e vivenciam estes momentos especiais, ter um pet em casa faz toda a diferença, é um grande companheiro para a vida!
