Macho started out living in a cardboard house, as the well-known song goes... And although it was made of cardboard, it wasn’t ugly. It was a very well-built house, until the day it rained and the whole thing fell apart.
We moved him to a little corner of our home and surrounded him with some blocks (as a temporary measure). A couple of weeks ago, whilst watching Macho, we saw him curling up in his little house, but we also noticed he was sad; he wasn’t his usual self, he wasn’t wagging his tail and he was looking very downcast.
We waited until the weekend, and yes, that was when we decided to build him another little house. To make him a place where he’d be more comfortable and have a bit more freedom.
My husband took care of the heavy lifting, to be honest, but my children and I also helped out as much as we could. With tools gathered from here and there, and some really cool music playing in the background, we began building a new home for MACHO.
Well, there’s still a lot to add to the little house, but for now, although imperfect, that house has become the best new place for Macho. Macho goes in and out of his little house, peeks out to say hello, and goes back inside... Realising then that they too need a place of peace and tranquillity.
We’re glad to see him in a better mood. We’re looking to sort things out on the medical side. Deworming, vaccinations and everything else important for pet care.
