There is a very popular phrase that says: “Curiosity killed the cat”. I would not like to think that it was literal, but I know that it was invented in a figurative sense referring to the fact that michis reach the maximum expression of risk to see or discover something, and the comparative phrase is applied to curious people, hahaha.
And in a way this is true, because when something catches their attention, the cats stay there anchored watching, and following stealthily what attracted them. That's why they are excellent hunters, because their agility comes after focusing their attention on something and if it moves, much more.
When they detect an insect, they stop their little ears, and stare at what is moving, get up and follow it to where it is going. If they lose sight of it, they try to get it out of sight, and insist until they succeed, most of the time.
My three stuffed animals have different curiosities; one of them checks everything in the environment, the sweeping brush, the toilet bowl, the garbage can, even if it is covered, the shovel, the edges and legs of the beds, under the bed, and every object that crosses his path.
The other two are curious about the TV, computer and cell phone screens, if they see the images or the mouse cursor moving, they follow it with their eyes, but oh no! Sometimes they have hit it with their paw, and one of the screens has suffered the consequences because it has a scratch almost in the center.
But between the two of them there is a difference of curiosity with the insects, one of them chases them to play, and the other one hunts them. In the same way these two playful ones, in the middle of their curiosity, grab from the table my keys, pencils, markers, and any object that I leave “wrong”, and they take it to play, and I tell them that it seems that they hide them, because I have looked for some missing things and I have not found them, and a few days later, they themselves bring them to light, hahaha. I hope it doesn't happen with the keys, because if not, it's a big mess.
This is the way it is day by day with these adorable curious ones, that sometimes it seems that they not only see what appears on the screen, but they understand it and enjoy it, even the melodramas.

Hay una frase muy popular que dice: “La curiosidad mató al gato”. No me gustaría pensar que fuera literal, pero sé que la inventaron en sentido figurado haciendo referencia a que los michis llegan a la máxima expresión del riesgo por ver o descubrir algo, y la frase comparativa se la aplican a las personas curiosas, jajaja.
Y en cierto modo esto es verdad, porque cuando algo les llama la atención, los gatos se quedan ahí anclados mirando, y siguiendo sigilosamente eso que les atrajo. Por eso son excelentes cazadores, porque su agilidad viene después de centrar su atención en algo y si esto se mueve, mucho más.
Cuando detectan un insecto, paran sus orejitas, y observan fijamente eso que se está moviendo, se levantan y lo siguen hasta donde se dirige. Si se les pierde de vista, tratan de sacarlo de donde se metió, e insisten hasta lograrlo, la mayoría de las veces.
Mis tres peluches tienen curiosidades diferentes; uno de ellos revisa todo lo que hay en el entorno, el cepillo de barrer, el tobo del coleto, el de la basura aunque esté tapado, la pala, las orillas y patas de las camas, debajo de ella, y cada objeto que se vaya cruzando en su camino.
Los otros dos sienten curiosidad por las pantallas de Tv, de la computadora y del celular, si ellos ven las imágenes o el cursor del mouse moviéndose, lo siguen con la mirada, pero ¡Oh, no! Algunas veces le han tirado un golpe con su patita, y ya una de las pantallas sufrió las consecuencias porque le quedó una raya casi en el centro.
Pero entre ellos dos hay una diferencia de curiosidad con los insectos, uno de ellos los persigue para jugar, y el otro si los caza. De la misma manera estos dos juguetones en medio de su curiosidad, me agarran de la mesa las llaves, lápices, marcadores, y cualquier objeto que dejo “mal parado”, y se lo llevan para jugar, y les cuento que pareciera que los esconden, porque he buscado algunas cosas desaparecidas y no las he encontrado, y a los pocos días, ellos mismos las sacan a la luz, jajaja. Espero que no suceda con las llaves, porque si no, mayor lío.
De esta manera es el día a día con estos curiosos adorables, que algunas veces sí pareciera que no sólo ven lo que aparece en la pantalla, sino que lo entienden y los disfrutan, hasta los melodramas.
