The magic is still there

Nafplio is a magical place, taken off the pages of medieval fairy tales with dark lords and noble knights! The dusk is the time to let yourself into the fantasy world and let your imagination gallop like a wild horse! It is the time to wander to the narrow tiled streets and feel the night coming through the thick stone walls that surround you. This is what @traisto and myself did, more than once during our recent stay and quite a few of those nights ended to the one place that meant to be our favourite spot of the town!

As you might have guessed, we like falafel and we have found a small Libanesse restaurant that offers the best ones I have tried in Greece! And since it is Friday and we have most definitely paid for that meal, I'll dedicate this post to #MarketFriday, initiated by @dswigle!

I have written many posts about Nafplio the last couple of months but in case you have missed all of them, I have some more pictures to give you an idea of what the town looks like. And to prove that even in broad daylight the magic is still there!

I have probably told you all about that, in one post or another but if you are into historical facts, let me finish with a nice description from wikipedia:

Nafplio is a coastal city located in the Peloponnese in Greece that is the capital of the regional unit of Argolis and an important touristic destination. Founded in antiquity, the city became an important seaport in the Middle Ages during the Frankokratia as part of the lordship of Argos and Nauplia, held initially by the de la Roche following the Fourth Crusade before coming under the Republic of Venice and, lastly, the Ottoman Empire. The city was the second capital of the First Hellenic Republic and of the Kingdom of Greece, from 1827 until 1834.
