The more relaxed we are, the better we feel, this is not a secret, it is something we all know, so we resort to many methods to relax. According to many studies, one of the best ways to relax is to listen to music, and frankly, this is the method I use most. Negativity in our lives or around us inevitably demoralizes and stresses all of us. I use many methods to relax, one of them is listening to music, listening to music really relaxes me.
According to a study featured in the the National Library of Medicine, when we are stressed, our body's inflammatory response increases, which has a negative impact on our skin's barrier. And feeling more relaxed has the inverse effect of healing our complexion and plumping the skin, leading to overall improved skin health and a reduction in symptoms of certain conditions, it says. “Relaxing music can have a profound effect on how we feel physically and psychologically,” says Micheal Bonshor, professor of Music Psychology at the University of Sheffield in the UK, in a study conducted by luxury skincare membership club Beauty Pie. Additionally, "the neurological pathways that process sound influence the brain's limbic system, which is responsible for emotional responses, memory and behavior, so listening to relaxing music helps us regulate our emotions and can also lower heart rate, lower blood pressure and reduce cortisol, the stress hormone", says Dr Michael Bonshor.
Beauty Pie experts analyzed 1.4 million songs on Spotify playlists containing keywords like “skincare,” “relaxing,” “wellness,” and “self-care” to determine which artists, genres and songs create the most calming environment for skin. Also relaxing music may be different for everyone, I usually listen to Marconi Union - Weightless to relax and it really works for me. Also, listening to Airstream - Electra is very relaxing for me.
