April 2021, only half a year passed but it feels like ages ago... My beloved family's all together again. We got here, to the seaside town on the northwestern Aegean coast of Turkey.
We had no plan for the day, partly because of the quarantine, and partly because this charming small town's stollen my heart, and my hubby and daughter feel the same way.
Besides, we all are big fans of fish and seafood, and I believe the best place to taste it is a port town. I wanted closure. Local markets and taverns, narrow ancient streets and picturesque promenade - sounds like a perfect day. Let's go!
This street can belong to any of familiar cities in western Galicia (Ukraine), where I come from.
But if we're looking for fish, should turn and walk toward the sea.
The thing I loved about the promenade is that it wasn't a touristic attraction. Of course, there were yachts for entertainments, but small boats where definitely for fishing. They were awesome!
Nazar boncugu is local amulet protecting from evil eye . No matter believe it or not, it's beautiful.
The closer to the port the more colorful details. I enjoy it every time I look at these pictures.
Local port is small. And old ;) I suppose these old beams are rotted.
It seems to me that people who live and work next to such a beautiful sea are dazzled in paradise and are always happy. Who knows, probably they are...
When I sorted my archive, I could remember what did I pbotographed at this shot 😊 And I reecalled. The blanket!
Fresh caught. They gut the fish right on the boat.
Well, time to go on, toward new, unvisited places. Farewell look to Ayvalik.
That's all folks. Thanks to those who‘s made it 😁
Appreciate your visit, and see you soon!
