Please join me on this walk

Hello photography lovers! It's been a while since my contribution to this community and it is time to change the trend. Sure I am getting busier by the day, but that shouldn't be an excuse for not posting, right? However, today you are welcome to go with me on a walk through Singapore. Some find Singapore to strict country, while other likes it. If you ask me, it is amazing. Sure some things are good and some aren't like everywhere. Strict rules do help to be more secure and have better living space.

Hey, poops look up!

Some of the strict rules include:

  1. Chewing gum is banned except for therapeutic purposes.

  2. Littering and spitting can result in hefty fines.

  3. Smoking is prohibited in most public places.

  4. Selling and consuming drugs is a serious crime with severe penalties.

  5. Graffiti and vandalism are illegal and punishable by imprisonment and fines.

  6. Import, sale, or distribution of pornography is prohibited.

  7. Obscene language and behavior can result in arrest.

  8. Failure to flush a public toilet after use can result in a fine.

  9. Jaywalking and pedestrian offenses can result in fines.

These rules are enforced strictly and serve as a deterrent to maintain the clean and safe environment that Singapore is known for.

This was a police station

Maybe all these rules are the reason why this country is quite developed. Sadly, every repression has its downsides. One of these is people might be seen as too strict as well. There is no South East Asia fun in it if you understand me right. Well, another downside of Singapore is the monetary system of course. If you don't work you don't live in Singapore. It is just too expensive. And elders are rather living in Malaysia or Indonesia.

These are mostly workers from less developed countries working here as nannies and construction workers.

A big downside of the strict rules is also there are no drugs in this country. Well OK, you can get them, but I it really worth it? But hey, you can have a lot of fun here, even without stimulants. There is thousands of things to do in this crazy city. You should:

  1. Visit Gardens by the Bay
  2. Explore Marina Bay Sands
  3. Walk the Singapore Flyer
  4. Visit Sentosa Island
  5. Take a food tour
  6. Visit Universal Studios Singapore
  7. Take a night-time river cruise
  8. Visit the ArtScience Museum
  9. Visit the National Museum of Singapore
